Following its release, Hollow Knight: Silksong surpasses 500,000 concurrent players

Just a day after its launch on September 4, 2025, Hollow Knight: Silksong amassed over 500,000 players playing simultaneously.

The data from SteamDB shows Silksong achieved a peak of 535,213 concurrent players on the platform.

The eagerly anticipated release from Team Cherry has secured a position among the Top 20 most played games on Steam by concurrent users.

This accomplishment came as the game’s launch overwhelmed global digital storefronts for systems including Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam.

The surge in demand forced Nintendo's store to go offline, and Steam users encountered errors while purchasing the game.

So far in 2025, Silksong ranks as the most in-demand game on Steam, appearing on 4.8 million wishlists.

The original Hollow Knight game also saw a rise, reaching over 71,000 concurrent players as Silksong debuted.

Since then, the 2017 edition has surpassed that milestone, approaching nearly 73,000 players.
