On September 4, the launch of Hollow Knight: Silksong led to disruptions across major digital platforms, including Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam. Eager to try Team Cherry’s much-anticipated sequel to the indie hit Hollow Knight, players encountered issues when trying to make their purchases or even access the game's page.

Nintendo temporarily shut down its store, while Steam users faced problems with error messages indicating issues with the transaction. On the PSN Store, PlayStation players also faced difficulties in locating the game.

Xbox Game Pass users experienced similar challenges when downloading the game, both through their apps and the console.
