A16Z Speedrun, a venture capital company, has begun accepting applications for its upcoming sixth startup accelerator session.

Set to start in January, the 12-week accelerator offers startups support, including investments up to $1 million, as well as access to mentorship and strategic advice from industry leaders.

Interested participants must submit their applications by September 28, 2025. The program is set to kick off on January 26, 2026, and will conclude with a Demo Day in April.

"We are thrilled with the achievements of A16Z Speedrun alumni as they push the boundaries of what can be achieved," stated A16Z principal Josh Lu.

"The new cohorts continually inspire us with innovative ideas and unique approaches that cannot be easily categorized," Lu added.

The accelerator is expanding along with the potential for transformative breakthroughs, according to Lu.

Earlier this year, the program broadened its scope to support startups in fields such as technology, entertainment, and gaming, including sectors like 3D tools, streaming, and extended reality.

Beginning in 2023, A16Z Speedrun has invested over $180 million in more than 150 startups.

The fifth installment of the program, which occurred in July, featured over 60 companies chosen from an applicant pool of 14,000, marking its largest group so far.
