Atari has secured the intellectual property rights from Ubisoft for five games: Cold Fear, I Am Alive, Child of Eden, Grow Home, and its successor, Grow Up.

Revealed via a joint announcement on August 26, 2025, the collaboration highlights both companies' dedication to providing high-quality gaming experiences, faithful to the essence of the original games. The announcement can be found on Business Wire.

Atari intends to revive these games by launching them on new platforms and adopting updated publishing strategies.

Deborah Papiernik, Ubisoft's vice president of New Business, remarked that millions have enjoyed these games, and this initiative will let previous players relive those experiences while introducing them to new users.

Wade Rosen, Atari's chairman and CEO, expressed enthusiasm for bringing these beloved titles back, exploring new formats, content, and distribution methods to enhance their reach.

Atari's re-release strategy includes updating these five games and possibly expanding them under their own label, aiming to connect uniquely with both old and new fans alike.

Previously, Atari disclosed plans to buy Thunderful Group in a transaction valued at $5.2 million, contingent on shareholder approval at a forthcoming extraordinary general meeting. More details are available on this link.
