The 2025 Devcom Developer Conference has once again surpassed its previous attendance figures, rising by 6% compared to 2024, attracting 5,400 attendees.

This year's gathering included 390 presenters, representing a 30% increase, who participated in 220 sessions held across 17 different stages.

The conference was attended by 2,500 companies hailing from 89 nations, alongside 53 exhibitors who presented their projects and offerings.

Stephen Reichart, the managing director of game events GmbH and Devcom's organizer, remarked, "When we initiated Devcom back in 2017, our aim was to establish a community for developers."

He further noted, "The event has become a major global platform for exchanging knowledge, inspiration, and building connections within the industry."

"Concluding with a record number of participants and transitioning into Gamescom Dev marks an important progression. It signifies the growth and solid foundation the event and its community have achieved," Reichart added.

Earlier in the week, it was announced by Devcom organizers that the event will be rebranded as Gamescom Dev starting October 2025.

Reichart commented on the evolution, "Our journey with Devcom has been full of amazing, thrilling, and at times, challenging experiences."

He explained, "From the onset, there was a curious question from many: 'So, you represent the game development side of Gamescom?' This led us to add 'The official game developer conference of Gamescom' as a subtitle."

"Now, it's clear and simple – all developer-related activities occur at Gamescom Dev," he elaborated.
