Bungie has a new leader: Pete Parsons has stepped down
Pete Parsons, the CEO of Bungie, the studio behind Destiny and Marathon, has left the company after over 20 years with the team.

Parsons did not reveal why he decided to resign from Bungie. In his farewell letter, he simply mentioned that it is the right time to pass the leadership of the studio to a new leader who will take Bungie forward.
Justin Truman, a veteran of the studio and former Director of Development, will now lead Bungie.
These leadership changes at Bungie come amidst ongoing issues within the studio. In recent years, it has experienced several rounds of mass layoffs and has faced financial challenges due to the underperformance of Destiny 2 and the delay of Marathon. Additionally, Bungie is currently becoming increasingly integrated into PlayStation Studios, thereby losing the remaining vestiges of its independence.
