In the first half of 2025, Wargaming's division in Lithuania paid 5.8 million euros in taxes to the country's treasury, reports dev.by, citing data from the State Tax Inspectorate under the Lithuanian Ministry of Finance. The slight decrease in tax contributions did not prevent Wargaming from once again entering the top of the largest taxpayers in Lithuania among IT companies. It is also reported that Wargaming parted ways with some of its Lithuanian employees. At the beginning of the year, the regional team consisted of 835 people, but by the end of June, it had decreased to 757. The exact reasons for the layoffs are unknown, but it's worth noting that Wargaming has been downsizing its staff in Lithuania for over a year now.
Meanwhile, in June, Wargaming's Lithuanian employees received a significant salary increase. According to dev.by, the average salary in the division reached 12,000 euros, which is double compared to May. Journalists speculate that Wargaming may have also included bonuses along with regular payments at the start of summer. A similar situation occurred in 2024.
