4J Studios, the developer known for porting Minecraft to consoles, has inaugurated a new office in Edinburgh, UK
4J Studios, the developers responsible for adapting Mojang's Minecraft for console and handheld platforms, has inaugurated a new branch in Edinburgh, United Kingdom.

According to The Scotsman, the company based in Dundee was established by Chris van der Kuyl and Paddy Burns in 2005. The firm is actively hiring from Edinburgh's gaming industry for their latest initiative, Reforj. This project involves collaboration with their community through the "Pioneer Program," and the company has around 50 employees at present.
Paddy Burns, 4J Studios' CEO, remarked, "The progress on Reforj has been accelerating in recent months. It’s been two decades since Chris and I founded 4J Studios, and this period is among the most exciting for our company."
Burns further added, "The Pioneer Program is really gaining momentum, and it's intriguing to see user interaction with the game, gather their insights, and integrate them into development.
We aim to leverage this enthusiasm by establishing our initial Edinburgh office, enhancing our reach to the city's rich pool of software and design professionals."
