John Davison is leaving his position at IGN Entertainment

John Davison, who served as the senior vice president and publisher at IGN Entertainment, is set to depart from his position.

According to Yael Prough, president of IGN Entertainment, Davison's last day will be August 29, 2025, as he leaves to "embark on his next adventure," as reported by GamesIndustry.biz.

Prough expressed gratitude for Davison's contributions, wishing him success in his future pursuits.

Davison became part of IGN in 2019, bringing with him more than 30 years of experience in the gaming sector. He was at the helm of Rolling Stone's Glixel and served as vice president at Fortyseven Communications previously.

His past roles also include acting as senior vice president and editorial director at Ziff Davis Media between 2003 and 2007, as well as vice president of programming at CBS Interactive for GameSpot and Metacritic.
