RedOctane Games is a newly established studio focused on enhancing the rhythm game genre

RedOctane Games has been established as a new studio, concentrating on creating rhythm games. Their inaugural project is slated for reveal later this year.
Comprising veterans from past rhythm game projects like Guitar Hero and DJ Hero, RedOctane Games is marrying seasoned expertise with fresh talent to innovate in the rhythm game field, seeking to blend tradition with innovation.
The studio is led by Simon Ebejer, who previously held roles as studio head at Vicarious Visions and VP of Operations at Blizzard Entertainment. Ebejer's experience includes being the production director for titles such as Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and Guitar Hero: Metallica.
Charles and Kai Huang, known for creating Guitar Hero, will be on the studio's advisory board, anticipated to contribute significant experience and guidance in shaping the studio's future initiatives.
The announcement of RedOctane Games' debut rhythm game is expected later in the year, after several months in pre-production. The studio prioritizes a development approach that actively involves the gaming community and ensures player engagement from the outset.
Simon Ebejer emphasized the significance of rhythm games, stating, "Rhythm games entail more than just playing; they encompass the experience, flow, and connection with music and fellow players. RedOctane Games is our tribute to a genre dear to us, as we aim to steer it toward new and thrilling paths."
Recently, it was reported that Day Off Interactive has also commenced operations, dedicating itself to strategy and simulation game development.
