Day Off Interactive is a newly established studio in Ireland that specializes in creating strategy and simulation games
An innovative game studio focused on strategy and simulation games has opened its doors in Dublin.
Day Off Interactive, co-founded by Karoliina Korppoo, known for Cities: Skylines, and Des Gayle, of Life is Strange fame, boasts a team of seasoned professionals across Europe. This team operates entirely remotely and follows a four-day workweek, aligning with the studio's name.
Although the studio’s public unveiling occurred today, August 5, its operations actually began in July 2024.
The company aims to enhance time-honored game genres while advancing contemporary game design, particularly focusing on dynamic and intuitive in-game characters.
The team also features Colman Humphrey as technical director, Jayne Robinson in the role of fractional marketing director, Ethan Grant serving as studio director and prodigy owner, along with Karl Rabbitt as deputy studio director and designer. Key contractors are already in collaboration with the studio.
At the moment, Day Off Interactive has not shared details about its first project but plans to announce its debut game in September 2025.
