Set to commence later this month, the Global Gaming League (GGL) has successfully established licensing deals with six prominent gaming companies.

On August 4, the GGL disclosed these new partnerships, featuring prominent names such as Activision Blizzard, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Tetris, Ubisoft, and EA joining the celebrity-themed gaming league. Read more about the collaborations here.

The league is set to debut its inaugural season, named SZN Zero, on August 23, 2025. In this unique competition, celebrity-owned teams comprising four players each will compete across four different games from various genres, underscored as a blend between "the NFL and WWE."

Notable figures such as wrestler Rick Flair, Flavor Flav of Public Enemy fame, rapper T-Pain—who also serves as the Executive Director of Strategy for the league—and TikTok influencer Bryce Hall have agreed to become team owners.

The signed agreements allow the league to include and stream games like Tetris, Trackmania, Call of Duty, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Brawlhalla, Tekken, and Rocket League for its first season worldwide.

Clinton Sparks, the founder and CEO of GGL, remarked, "After I share our vision, everyone becomes enthusiastic about the league and its potential impact. Gamers range across all ages, but nothing has connected games and players from different generations as this league does."

Sparks further explained, "These partnerships enable us to bring together diverse game titles that appeal to a wide audience. Our league aims to elevate the entire gaming industry, highlighting facets from game publishers and hardware manufacturers to sponsors, and most crucially, the gamers worldwide."
