Nintendo reveals adjustments to the pricing of the Switch in the United States

Nintendo has revealed upcoming adjustments to the prices of its Nintendo Switch consoles and various accessories in the United States, effective next week.
In an announcement dated August 1, the company stated that starting August 3, changes will be implemented in the pricing of the original Nintendo Switch series and products in response to market dynamics.
The modifications will affect the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch OLED, and Nintendo Switch Lite, along with specific Nintendo Switch accessories.
Additionally, selected Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, certain amiibo figures, and the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo are also subject to these pricing changes.
Although Nintendo has not officially disclosed the specifics, Wario64 on X observed that Target has already increased prices: the original Switch now costs $339.99 (a 13.3% rise from $299.99), the Switch OLED is priced at $399.99 (a 14.29% increase from $349.99), and the Switch Lite is now $229.99 (a 15% rise from $199.99).
The current pricing of the Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch Online membership, and games for both the older and newer systems will remain unchanged, though Nintendo cautions that future adjustments might be required.
This announcement comes shortly after Nintendo's financial disclosure for the quarter ending June 30, which highlighted a more than twofold increase in its quarterly revenue.
