Nintendo reveals adjustments to the pricing of the Switch console in the United States

Nintendo has revealed that starting next week, there will be price adjustments for various Nintendo Switch devices and accessories in the United States.

Published in an update on August 1, the company mentioned that on August 3, the cost changes for "the original family of Nintendo Switch systems and products" in the U.S. will reflect shifts in market conditions.

These pricing changes will affect the Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo Switch OLED, and the Nintendo Switch Lite, along with certain Nintendo Switch accessories.

Additionally, a specific range of Nintendo Switch 2 add-ons, select amiibo, and the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, will experience these changes.

Although Nintendo has not detailed these new prices, Wario64 on X observed that Target has already increased prices, showing the original Switch now at $339.99 (a 13.3% rise from $299.99), the Switch OLED at $399.99 (a 14.29% rise from $349.99), and the Switch Lite at $229.99 (a 15% rise from $199.99).

Currently, the cost of the Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions, and games for both the original and upcoming systems will stay the same, although Nintendo has noted that "future price adjustments may become necessary."

This announcement closely follows Nintendo's financial report for the quarter ending June 30, during which the company stated its revenue for the quarter had more than doubled.
