According to "Kommersant," formally, this will be a resumption of negotiations. If the newspaper's sources are to be believed, prior to the company coming under state control, Lesta Games had already contacted 1C Games Studios and expressed interest in the game, but was then forced to put the potential deal on hold.
It is reported that in addition to the title, Lesta Games wants to acquire 1C Games Studios' creative producer Albert Zhiltsov and his team.
How much Lesta Games is allegedly offering for "War of the Worlds: Siberia" and Zhiltsov's team is unknown. Interviewees suggest that the game's cost could be $30 million, with $10 million already supposed to have been spent on development.
Lesta Games and 1C Games Studios did not comment on Kommersant's information. Separately, Zhiltsov himself told the newspaper that he does not currently plan to change his place of work.
