The creative director of Indiana Jones is set to be the main speaker at Game Republic New Horizons
An exciting new event, Game Republic New Horizons, will see the participation of Axel Torvenius, the creative director behind "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle." This flagship conference, organized by Game Republic in collaboration with BAFTA, is slated to take place in Northern England.

Torvenius will engage in an interview session led by Luke Hebblethwaite, BAFTA's head of games. According to Jamie Sefton, managing director of Game Republic, the event highlights the synergy between storytelling in gaming and film, a theme that the conference aims to delve into further.
This conference, deeply rooted in the North’s creative community, was developed by Game Republic as a vibrant platform for showcasing industry talent and fostering innovative collaboration. "To create a prominent conference for this extraordinary region, we sought to include remarkable speakers and special guests," Sefton noted, also teasing future announcements.
Scheduled for October 16, 2025, Game Republic New Horizons will be hosted at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium from 9 am to 10 pm BST. The event promises a rich program with exhibitions, roundtables, and networking opportunities, plus an evening social with activities such as karaoke, golf, and bowling.
