No Code, the developer known for Silent Hill: Townfall, has rebranded itself as Screen Burn

The game development studio known for the game "Observation" has unveiled a new identity and will now operate under the name Screen Burn. Originally established in Glasgow, the studio started with just two members and has now progressed significantly over the past ten years.
Jon McKellan, the Founder and Creative Director, explained in a press release that the team has expanded and embraced changes since its inception in 2015. McKellan stated, “We now have coders, which prompted us to choose a name that better represents what's at the core of our games: the charm of retro technology combined with storytelling that remains impactful well after the experience.”
The fresh name, Screen Burn, also pays tribute to the firm's latest endeavor, Silent Hill: Townfall. It reflects the notion of an "image burned into an old CRT screen," symbolizing how a game's narrative can leave a lasting impression in players' minds.
Silent Hill: Townfall was revealed by Konami in a streaming event in October 2022 alongside other projects like Bloober Team's Silent Hill 2 remake, Silent Hill F, and Ascension. While initial footage revealed little else, fans feared the worst as updates became scarce, raising concerns about a potential cancellation.
Addressing these concerns, Annapurna Interactive, the project's co-publisher, issued an apology via X in October 2024. This statement, made shortly after large-scale departures at Annapurna, assured fans that the beloved horror series continuation remains underway at Screen Burn, formerly known as No Code.
