According to Business Wire, this bundle will be available starting October 16, the same date Pokémon Legends: Z-A hits the market. It includes a Nintendo Switch 2 console along with the game’s Switch 2 edition.

Available for pre-order through My Nintendo Store and various retailers, the bundle is priced at $499.9/£429.99. This represents a $50/£34 increase over the console's standard price of $449.99/£395.99.

Nintendo's president, Shuntaro Furukawa, addressed pricing concerns at the company's annual shareholders meeting in June. During a general Q&A session, he asserted that the console's price is fair given its gaming experience, though the company remains aware that the cost could be a deterrent for some consumers.

Despite these concerns, Nintendo maintains its pricing strategy, likely due to the immense success of the Switch 2, which has broken US launch week records and has become the biggest console launch in Japan with 2.2 million pre-order applications in Japan alone.

With the release of the new Pokémon game, which is part of a franchise that has sold nearly 500 million units, the October launch is predicted to further drive Switch 2 sales and could help Pokémon reach the 500 million sales milestone.
