NetEase paid over $13.9 million to map creators for Eggy Party over the year
Eggy Party is a competitive game in the spirit of Fall Guys, featuring lively eggs as characters. In a conversation with the portal GameLook, the project's producer, Kwan Cheng, shared that NetEase is actively encouraging players to add their own maps to Eggy Party, including through financial payments.

According to him, over the past year, map creators have received more than 100 million yuan (13.94 million dollars) from the company. He did not specify how this money was distributed among specific users.
NetEase is far from the only company that pays players for UGC.
In particular, in 2024 Epic Games paid island creators in Fortnite 352 million dollars, with seven teams receiving over 10 million dollars each. Another example is Roblox. In its case, the amounts are even larger. In 2024, game creators for the platform received a total of 922.8 million dollars. It is unlikely that NetEase with Eggy Party will reach this level, but still, it already has something to boast about.
