Ubisoft has announced the appointment of Christophe Derennes and Charlie Guillemot as co-CEOs for its newly established subsidiary, formed in collaboration with Tencent.

In a strategic move to enhance its business model, Ubisoft has crafted a new subsidiary with significant backing from Tencent, which invested $1.25 billion in the company. This partnership aims to bolster Ubisoft's flagship franchises, including Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, by fostering their continuous expansion and presence across multiple platforms.

The company expressed in a statement that Christophe Derennes and Charlie Guillemot bring a wealth of industry experience and an innovative spirit to the table, positioning them well to guide the new initiative. Yves Guillemot emphasized the duo's responsibility in strategizing brand development while fostering an environment where teams can excel and maintain a player-first focus.
