Airship Interactive has entered into administration, with all of its employees and assets transferred to a new company named Airmergent

Update, July 15, 2025: The assets of Airship Interactive have been purchased by a newly formed entity, Airmergent, which succeeds Airship Interactive.
This acquisition is described as a response to "wider industry challenges," aiming to ensure continuity in contracts, payroll, and services, while safeguarding employee positions under UK TUPE laws. All staff from Airship Interactive have transitioned to the new venture, Airmergent.
Airmergent plans to continue offering premium art services with added capabilities such as co-development and a focus on technical proficiency.
Funded by the current management team, the transition is intended to maintain business operations seamlessly and uphold the studio's creative contributions.
"Airmergent is our opportunity to protect our team, retain the work we value, and create something more robust," stated Joe Harford, CEO of Airmergent. "We are keeping the trusted legacy of Airship while enhancing co-development and workflow efficiency."
"The dedication of our team has been remarkable, and we are thankful to our partners for their support," he added.

On July 1, an administrator was assigned to the studio, which delivers art-focused services within the gaming industry, as per an official notice. According to Companies House, the company is now in the administration process. At the end of January 2025, the company employed 78 individuals.
Joe Harford, founder and CEO, who owns the studio through a holdings company (not under administration), communicated details to City AM about future plans.
"The Airship Interactive label is now under Airmergent, a specialist creative entity," Harford mentioned.
"The former leadership and staff will guide Airmergent, catering to the evolving games industry with enhanced efficiency and excellence. Additional information will follow shortly."
As recorded by Companies House, the business's registered address changed from Macclesfield to Manchester on July 14, 2025.
Mike Dillon, from the administrator Leonard Curtis, expressed in a City AM piece, "After a formal administration, Airship Interactive's business and assets transferred successfully to Airmergent Limited."
Airmergent Limited was formally established in September 2024, according to Companies House.
