Ubisoft has revealed job cuts at its Red Storm division, impacting 19 employees

Ubisoft has conducted a round of layoffs impacting 19 staff members at the Red Storm studio, known for its work on the Tom Clancy: Ghost Recon series.

According to IGN, these layoffs are part of a broader strategic effort by Ubisoft to streamline operations and reduce costs globally.

The company stated, "This challenging decision aligns with our operational priorities. We are committed to providing the affected employees with comprehensive severance, extended health benefits, and assistance in transitioning to new career opportunities."

Ubisoft further expressed gratitude for the contributions of the laid-off employees, emphasizing their significant impact on the company.

The company assured that these layoffs are isolated to Red Storm, with no other locations affected by this decision.

Established in 1996 by Tom Clancy and Doug Littlejohns, Red Storm, initially called Red Storm Entertainment, became part of Ubisoft in 2000.

In a previous occurrence in August 2024, Red Storm experienced layoffs alongside Ubisoft's San Francisco office.
