Cast Iron Games, a sister studio of Double Eleven, has commenced operations in Wakefield

A new studio named Cast Iron Games has been inaugurated in Tileyard North, Wakefield, UK, with a primary focus on triple-A game co-development and porting services.
The studio is established by industry veterans Arden Aspinall, known for his previous role as studio head at Rebellion North, and Jon Seymour, who was recently a business development manager at both Double Eleven and Rebellion North. They are now part of the Pneuma Games Group, which also includes Double Eleven.
The studio is already engaged in several projects. Its creation stems from the strong personal ties between the leaders of Double Eleven, Pneuma, and the founders, Aspinall and Seymour.
Lee Hutchinson, CEO of Double Eleven and chairman of Pneuma Group, expressed his excitement, stating, "I have wanted to have Jon and Arden join our group of companies for many years now and I am thrilled to finally be able to welcome Cast Iron Games to Pneuma Games Group to sit aside its sister Studio Double Eleven."
Initially concentrating on enhancing its capabilities in game porting and co-development, the studio plans to eventually venture into complete game creation as its team expands. This new establishment aims to invest in the local talent in northern England, an area with a remarkably rich history in game development.
Aspinall remarked, "I wanted the company to reflect the name, a company that's Cast Iron in its reliability and the quality of results it delivers for clients. I've always been inspired by the way that Lee and his leadership team have grown Double Eleven – a company based on sound principles which we share."
He added, "We have a strong synergy with the Double Eleven vision, and we will seek to align our pathways wherever possible. These values now underpin the way we operate as a team in Cast Iron. A safe pair of hands forging partnerships that are built to last."
