The CEO and two founders have left the Subnautica development studio
KRAFTON announced that three key executives of its subsidiary studio Unknown Worlds are stepping down "immediately."

The following have departed from Unknown Worlds:
- CEO Ted Gill;
- studio co-founder and Subnautica franchise creative director Charlie Cleveland;
- studio co-founder and technical director Max McGuire.
KRAFTON did not disclose the reason for the executives' resignation but stated that it tried to retain them. Gill, Cleveland, and McGuire have not commented on the situation. Their future plans remain unknown.
Steve Papoutsis will now lead Unknown Worlds. He previously served for just over a year as CEO of Striking Distance Studios. He has also held leadership roles at Visceral Games, Baobab Studios, and Crystal Dynamics.
