The funds will be directed to the specialized UK Games Fund, which will then provide grants to developers.
Additionally, the UK aims to establish a national video game council consisting of representatives from the gaming industry. This council will work closely with the government to further develop the sector.
All these initiatives are being implemented under the Games Growth Package, which is itself part of the broader Creative Industries Sector Plan aimed at supporting the UK's creative industries. The budget for the latter over three years is £380 million ($510.7 million).
