Ubisoft remains "deeply" involved in the development of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is still heavily under development at Ubisoft.
Although the company didn't disclose much about its development plans or provide an estimated launch date, a social media statement indicated: "Yep, we’re still deep in the game - exploring, building, and ensuring the sands move with purpose."
The team emphasized that passionate developers are devoted to the project, stating, "This game is being crafted by a team that truly cares, and they're pouring their hearts (and a lot of coffee) into every step. Thank you for sticking with us."
Besides this, Ubisoft assured fans that the remake is set for a "full launch" on consoles.
First announced at Ubisoft Forward in 2020, the remake was initially slated for release on January 21, 2021. However, after receiving feedback regarding its visual presentation, Ubisoft postponed the release to March 2021. In June 2021, a further delay pushed the release to 2022. Following a change in development studios, Ubisoft opted to refund all pre-orders, with the remake now anticipated to arrive in 2026.
In a related note, Ubisoft recently stated that Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has exceeded two million players since its debut on console and PC in January 2024, followed by rollouts on MacOS in December 2024 and mobile devices in April 2025.
