The NBA has renewed its collaboration with 2K through a new "multiyear partnership."
A recent press announcement revealed that the NBA, NBPA, and 2K have reached a consensus on extending their global partnership on a multiyear basis. Additionally, 2K has extended its "longstanding relationships" with the NBA G League and USA Basketball. This deal allows 2K to continue delivering highly realistic and engaging NBA video game experiences.
Under this new agreement, the NBA and 2K are introducing NBA Take-Two Media. This will serve as a modern entertainment firm dedicated to uniting fans and players via competitive gaming, social-first initiatives, unique programming, and live events.
The details of the agreement remain undisclosed, but it was confirmed that 2K has sold over 150 million copies globally.
Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two Interactive's chairman and CEO, expressed great pleasure about continuing the partnership with the NBA and NBPA, emphasizing the record-breaking achievements shared by these entities.
