After two decades in operation, Cobra Mobile has closed its doors

The game developer Cobra Mobile, located in Dundee, has closed its doors.
According to The Courier, the company's closure was announced by CEO and creator Mark Ettle. Contributing factors were the passing of chairman Peter Mackintosh and financial losses from client bankruptcies.
Ettle explained, "Our industry has faced challenges, making it difficult to continue as we had hoped."
Reflecting on the company's history, Ettle remarked, "It's unfortunate, but the journey over the past two decades has been enjoyable."
"We developed many acclaimed games and received numerous awards, along with commendations for our business practices. However, uncontrollable business challenges can arise, as these past events have demonstrated," he added.
Ettle further noted a current industry-wide downturn. "We encountered a series of unfortunate occurrences," he explained.
Cobra Mobile, which started in 2005, gained recognition for games such as Storm In A Teacup and iBomber.
The company developed games for iOS and Android, and other platforms like Steam and Nintendo.
