The Screen Actors Guild in the United States has reached an agreement with gaming companies
In late July 2024, the Screen Actors Guild of America, SAG-AFTRA, initiated a strike against gaming companies. Almost a year later, the parties finally managed to reach an agreement.

SAG-AFTRA announced that the agreement reached by the actors and gaming companies is tentative. The strike will continue until all terms are fully ratified.
The National Board of SAG-AFTRA is expected to approve the agreement in the coming weeks. Afterward, Guild members will also need to vote on the deal.
It's worth noting that the main point of contention between the parties was the use of artificial intelligence in game development. SAG-AFTRA wanted companies to limit the use of technology to create digital replicas of actors' voices, while developers saw new opportunities in this.
