The co-creators of Subway Surfers Blast and Angry Birds POP will cut 15% of their staff
Another piece of news about layoffs. The Scottish mobile studio Outplay Entertainment will part ways with 21 employees during a restructuring process.

According to information on the studio's website, it currently employs 135 people. Thus, the reduction will affect approximately 15.5% of Outplay Entertainment's staff.
In a comment to MobileGamer, Outplay Entertainment's CEO Douglas Hare described the decision as "difficult." However, he indicated that through the restructuring, the studio will align its operations with current business realities. In particular, it plans to collaborate more actively with various publishers, which necessitates these adjustments.
Outplay Entertainment is doing "everything possible" to support the laid-off employees.
Outplay Entertainment was founded in 2011 and has developed a number of mobile games based on popular brands. For instance, in collaboration with Rovio Entertainment, it created Angry Birds POP, and with Sybo, they developed Subway Surfers Blast. Other titles in its portfolio include Alien Creeps, Gordon Ramsay: Chef Blast, Mystery Match Village, and Castel Creeps. Overall, its games have accumulated over 160 million downloads.
