Playtika is said to have eliminated "as many as 160 jobs," impacting teams based in Israel and Poland

Playtika has reportedly undergone a significant workforce reduction, with as many as 160 positions eliminated across its Polish and Israeli teams.
According to Mobilegamer.biz, a source indicated the team size dropping from over 200 to approximately 40. Another source highlighted that no less than 80 employees were affected at the Poland office.
Several impacted workers have posted about the layoffs on LinkedIn, including talent acquisition expert Natalia Santorek, Unity developer Filip Gralak, and level designer Lee Shapira.
Reports suggest that layoffs affected roles within engineering, level design, art, and quality assurance. PocketGamer added that the Best Fiends and Redecor teams were predominantly hit by these job cuts.
Requests for comments regarding the total number of job losses went unanswered by Playtika.
The previous month, PocketGamer revealed approximately 50 employees were let go from Wooga, a developer owned by Playtika.
Playtika had earlier downsized by 10% in January 2024 and also removed two executive roles amid a leadership overhaul in May.
The company absorbed Seriously, the studio behind Best Fiends, in 2019, closing it down in 2022. Game production was relocated to Playtika's facilities in Israel and Poland.
In 2021, Playtika purchased Reworks, the creators of Redecor, in a transaction valued up to $400 million.
