Hi-Rez Studios lost several executives, including the company president
Another round of layoffs has occurred at Hi-Rez Studios. This time, the cuts involved the executive team.
SMITE 2
Details of the layoffs were shared on Reddit by Alex Cantatore, who recently took over as head of Titan Forge Games—a subsidiary of Hi-Rez Studios. According to him, at least five managers have lost their jobs. Among them were company president Stewart Chisam and executive producer Travis Brown.
Cantatore explained that Hi-Rez Studios concluded that the current size of the company is smaller than it used to be, meaning there is no longer a need for as many managers. Thus, they decided to part ways with some of them.
Cantatore emphasized that these layoffs will not affect SMITE 2 or its development team.
The previous wave of layoffs at Hi-Rez Studios occurred four months ago. According to Insider Gaming, the company let go of approximately 70 employees from various departments at that time. Hi-Rez Studios also conducted layoffs in October 2024, though the extent of those was not disclosed.
