The developer behind Wordfeud has contributed $50,000 to Spawn Point, a Norwegian games accelerator

Bertheussen IT, the creator of Wordfeud, has contributed $50,000 to Spawn Point Trondheim, a games accelerator based in Norway.
This funding will aid the organization in its growth efforts, including program improvements, attracting more experts from the industry, and the potential to "explore sustainable models for long-term impact" within the regional gaming sector.
Linn Søvig, project manager at Spawn Point, expressed, "Receiving backing from a successful player in the gaming arena is hugely encouraging."
"It highlights a genuine confidence in the emerging wave of Norwegian game makers and the importance of cultivating a resilient games sector here."
Søvig added, "To significantly enhance commercial advancement in Norway's gaming realm, our organization needs to expand accordingly."
"The assistance allows us to consider future ambitions and explore how Spawn Point can become a permanent asset for the entire industry.
"With further contributions of this nature, we aim to create a long-lasting impact."
Håkon Bertheussen, founder of Bertheussen IT, remarked: "I understand the challenges of entering the gaming world, especially initially."
"Seeing initiatives like Spawn Point, which are dedicated to building support structures for developers, inspires us to assist. It's crucial to develop this community collectively."
Spawn Point initiated operations last month and is supporting five studios in its initial program phase, including Lugn Games, Tooth Games, Shadowfay Games, Graybox Software, and HiPhi Games.
