Mundfish officially announced an initiative to support aspiring developers
The studio Mundfish is known for the retro-futuristic shooter Atomic Heart. Recently, it decided to step beyond its own development and started helping other teams with their game creations.

The existence of a special initiative at Mundfish called Mundfish Powerhouse was noticed online back in February. Around that time, the mention of it appeared for the first time on the studio's website. However, Mundfish officially announced the launch of the program only yesterday, coinciding with the announcement of Atomic Heart reaching a milestone of 10 million players.
According to Robert Bagratuni, the head of Mundfish, the idea of launching Mundfish Powerhouse had been maturing for a long time.
"For quite some time now, we've been approached by studios and investors asking for support, so we decided to make it official. Mundfish Powerhouse will collaborate only with projects where we see serious potential. Not just with a handful of indie hits, but with large and bold games capable of setting a new standard of quality and creative risk," Bagratuni stated.
In a press release, the studio referred to Mundfish Powerhouse as a "creative boutique label." It emphasized that, within this initiative, it assumes the role not of a publisher but of a creative and operational partner.
What is currently known about Mundfish Powerhouse:
- judging by the Mundfish website, the studio intends to work with novice developers on their first games;
- developers can expect funding and help with establishing internal processes, business strategy development, finding additional partners, and game creation itself;
- the genre can be anything, but it is preferable that the game is in the early stages of development;
- though not specified in the press release or on the studio's website, it seems that Mundfish is not interested in mobile games. In the application form, only consoles and PC are available options.
