Kojima Productions is developing an anime adaptation of "Death Stranding"
Hideo Kojima has disclosed the development of an anime adaptation based on his game, Death Stranding.
Speaking with Vogue Japan, Kojima revealed that, in addition to a live-action motion picture, an animated version is also in the pipeline.

"I'm collaborating with A24 on bringing Death Stranding to the big screen through a live-action film," Kojima stated, as translated by VGC. "There are adaptations, like The Last of Us, that remain faithful to the original story, and others, such as The Super Mario Bros Movie, which cater more to the game's fanbase.
"These interpretations have their respective strengths. As a cinema lover, I am eager to explore the unique storytelling opportunities film provides," Kojima continued. "I aspire to craft a Death Stranding that stands out in the cinema landscape and could potentially win accolades at prestigious festivals like Cannes or Venice. We're also engaged in producing an anime version."
Back in December 2023, A24 and Kojima Productions, helmed by Hideo Kojima, shared their partnership in creating a live-action adaptation of Death Stranding. Specific release details have not yet been announced.
