The developers did not disclose how many people purchased Atomic Heart versus how many accessed it via the Game Pass subscription, where the game was available for a significant period. They also did not provide a breakdown of the audience by platform (PC, PlayStation, and Xbox).
The last time Mundfish revealed the audience for Atomic Heart was in March 2023. At that time, it was stated that 5 million people had played the shooter within its first three weeks of release.
PulluP Entertainment — the parent company of publisher Focus Entertainment Publishing, which released Atomic Heart in the West — has recently been consistently including Mundfish's game among its major hits in financial reports. Shortly after its release, it noted that Atomic Heart sold better than expected.
In Russia and the CIS, Atomic Heart is published by Astrum Entertainment. They are also pleased with the game's success. Specifically, in 2023, the company declared Atomic Heart their most significant release of the year.
