Amplitude Studios secures more than $13 million in a Series A funding round

Amplitude Studios has successfully secured $13.6 million (€12 million) through a Series A funding round. This significant financial boost was spearheaded by Griffin Gaming Partners, contributing $11.3 million, with further support from Bpifrance, an investment bank.
According to a report by GamesBeat, Amplitude, which regained its independence from Sega in November, intends to utilize the funds to finalize Endless Legend 2, initiate new projects, and enhance its team and community engagement.
Romain de Waubert de Genlis, the CEO, expressed enthusiasm about the studio's direction, stating, "We built Amplitude as an indie studio driven by passion and community. What’s exciting about regaining our independence through this partnership with Griffin is that it’s not about changing who we are, it’s about accelerating toward the future we’ve always envisioned."
He emphasized their ambition to fully execute their creative ideas and exceed player expectations. The studio is currently focused on its upcoming developments and is eager to reveal them.
The move away from Sega was the result of thorough discussions between the two entities. Now operating out of Paris, Amplitude Studios plans to concentrate on its own intellectual properties as a self-reliant developer.
