The developers of Humankind have raised 12 million euros
Amplitude Studios received significant investment. The studio announced that it secured €12 million in its latest funding round.
Endless Legend 2
The lead investor was the venture company Griffin Gaming Partners. As reported by VentureBeat, it alone invested €10 million in the developers of Humankind and the Endless series. Other investors included the French bank Bpifrance.
Amplitude Studios plans to primarily use the funds for game development. In particular, for further work on the 4X strategy game Endless Legend 2, which is scheduled for early access release in the summer of 2025.
Additionally, part of the funds will go towards expanding the Amplitude Studios team.
Romain de Waubert de Genlis, the CEO of Amplitude Studios, assured that after parting ways with SEGA, his studio wants to return to its roots. In their new games, they intend to fully realize their creative vision and give gamers what they expect from them.
Amplitude Studios left the SEGA group in November 2024. This occurred as part of the restructuring of the Japanese company's European business.
