MY.GAMES celebrated the sixth anniversary of the brand by publishing metrics of its projects
The gaming company MY.GAMES, in honor of its sixth anniversary, released an infographic showcasing the latest key metrics of its major gaming blockbusters.
It mentions that the free-to-play PC novelty War Robots Frontiers has over a million users, and Castle Duels, the spiritual successor to Ludus, has more than 2.6 million downloads.
The infographic also seemingly emphasizes the holding company's PC ambitions, a company that had previously focused mainly on the mobile market. Nearly a quarter of the image is devoted to the efforts of the new division — Knights Peak. Just this spring, it released two major PC titles — Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree and Tempest Rising.
As for the birth of MY.GAMES, it should be recalled that the IT giant Mail.Ru Group announced the launch of the new brand on May 30, 2019. Before this, games published by the corporation were released in Russia under the brand Mail.Ru Group and abroad, generally under the My.com brand.
The reason Mail.Ru Group decided to consolidate its gaming brands at that time was its success in the gaming sector. At that point, the gaming business had become one of the key revenue sources for the entire company.
In September 2022, the VK group of companies (Mail.ru Group was renamed to this in October 2021) announced the sale of MY.GAMES for $642 million. The buyer was Alexander Chachava, managing partner of the investment firm LETA Capital.
Later that same year, it was revealed that all Russian assets would be transferred to the newly restored game publisher Astrum Entertainment, which created a joint venture with Innova. At that time, MY.GAMES itself announced that it would no longer operate in Russia.
