Capcom believes that employees are a "key source of competitiveness" for the company. Therefore, in recent years, it has done much to attract new talent and retain current staff. For instance, Capcom has launched a program to train entry-level professionals, has started to increase salaries more frequently, and has begun constructing a more spacious office.
Judging by the figures in Capcom's report, the company has indeed managed to increase both the overall number of employees and the number of developers specifically for at least five consecutive years.
Here's how Capcom's workforce has grown since 2021:
- March 31, 2021: a total of 3,152 employees, of which 2,285 are developers;
- March 31, 2022: a total of 3,206 employees, of which 2,369 are developers;
- March 31, 2023: a total of 3,332 employees, of which 2,460 are developers;
- March 31, 2024: a total of 3,531 employees, of which 2,675 are developers;
- March 31, 2025: a total of 3,766 employees, of which 2,846 are developers.
Earlier, Capcom reported that the fiscal year from April 2024 to March 2025 was the best in its history. The company set records in both revenue and profit, thanks to the success of Monster Hunter Wilds.
