Roblox introduces a new role focused on parental advocacy, aimed at aiding families in navigating digital safety

Roblox has announced that Dr. Elizabeth Milovidov will be their inaugural head of parental advocacy. Based in the United Kingdom, Milovidov's role is crafted to enhance support systems for families in the realm of digital safety and well-being. She will be instrumental in forging partnerships and developing resources that empower parents to guide their children in using digital platforms safely.
Roblox highlighted its commitment to user safety and civility, citing its newly launched parental controls as part of these efforts. Dr. Milovidov brings her expertise in international law to Roblox, having previously directed digital gaming, metaverse strategy, and child safety initiatives at the Lego Group.
Dr. Milovidov said, “I am thrilled to join Roblox to tackle the challenges families encounter in the digital age. My goal is to equip parents with the confidence and skills to enable their children to excel online while maintaining safety and responsibility. This role reflects Roblox’s dedication to providing parents with expert advice, innovative tools, and community-focused safety resources.”
Tami Bhaumik, Roblox's VP of civility and partnerships, commented on the appointment, emphasizing the importance of equipping parents with essential tools to manage the digital landscape. "We are delighted to welcome Elizabeth, whose expertise in digital parenting will further support parents in understanding and guiding their children on our platform safely," she stated.
This announcement follows a recent legal action where a teenager in the U.S. sued Roblox and Discord, accusing the companies of facilitating her exploitation as a minor. Additionally, Roblox reported a significant fiscal achievement, noting a 29% revenue increase, amounting to over $1 billion in the first fiscal quarter of 2025.
