After nearly two decades at the helm of nDreams, CEO Patrick O'Luanaigh is stepping down. He will transition to the role of non-executive chairperson, maintaining a close relationship with the executive team and Aonic to influence the company's direction.

O'Luanaigh expressed enthusiasm about continuing to be involved with nDreams, stating in a recent statement: "I have loved my 19 years as CEO, and it’s going to be great to continue to keep a close eye on nDreams’ exciting journey from my new role."

Tomas Gillo, who has been part of nDreams for nearly ten years, will take over as CEO. Speaking on Gillo's new role, O'Luanaigh remarked, "Tom knows the company and teams better than anyone, and most importantly, knows VR and MR game development inside out, and I have no doubt that he’ll do a fantastic job along with the incredible exec team that we have built."

In a company statement on LinkedIn, nDreams expressed its gratitude for O'Luanaigh's visionary leadership that consistently propelled the company forward in the VR sector. The statement also welcomed Gillo as the new CEO, highlighting his extensive experience with the company and their confidence in his leadership for the next phase in nDreams' journey.

Previously, nDreams faced significant organizational changes, including mass layoffs at the end of last year, citing a strategic shift that could affect up to 17.5% of the workforce. In early February, they launched a new internal studio named Compass while closing two others, reflecting ongoing strategic realignment efforts.
