The creators of Goat Simulator and Deep Rock Galactic will leave the Embracer Group by the end of the year, and the holding company itself will be renamed
Last spring, the management of Embracer Group announced a plan to split the holding into three public companies. One of them, Asmodee Group, has already gone public. Soon it will be Coffee Stain Group’s turn.

In a recent update for investors, Embracer Group revealed that Coffee Stain Group will separate from the holding by the end of the year. The shares of the new group are planned to be distributed among the current shareholders of Embracer Group.
Included in the Coffee Stain Group will be:
- Coffee Stain itself;
- Ghost Ship Games;
- Tuxedo Labs;
- certain studios of Amplifier Game Invest—all from Scandinavia.
As a result, Coffee Stain Group's portfolio will include game IPs such as Deep Rock Galactic, Goat Simulator, Satisfactory, Teardown, Valheim, and Welcome to Bloxburg.
Coffee Stain Group will be headed by the current leader of Coffee Stain, Anton Westbergh. Under his leadership, there will be more than 250 employees.
After the separation of Coffee Stain Group, Embracer Group will be renamed to Fellowship Entertainment. Middle-earth Enterprises, 4A Games, Aspyr Media, CrazyLabs, Crystal Dynamics, Eidos-Montréal, PLAION, THQ Nordic, Warhorse Studios, and more than 50 other companies will remain with it.
The CEO and largest shareholder of Embracer Group, Lars Wingefors, will form a new private holding, Embracer AB, after the separation process is completed. This company will be a long-term shareholder in all three former parts of Embracer Group: Asmodee Group, Coffee Stain Group, and Fellowship Entertainment.
