Amazon's Fallout TV series has been renewed for a third season

Amazon Prime has confirmed a third season for its Fallout series and has announced a release period for the upcoming second season.
The announcement was made during the company's upfront presentation, stating that the second installment of Fallout is set to premiere in December 2025.
The continuation of the series will follow characters Lucy (played by Ella Purnell), The Ghoul (portrayed by Walton Goggins), and Maximus (Aaron Moten) as they venture into New Vegas, a location familiar to fans from the 2010 game Fallout: New Vegas by Obsidian Entertainment.
The series is the creation of showrunners Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, with executive production by Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, and Athena Wickham.
Nolan and Joy's Kilter Films produce the show in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks.
Vernon Sanders, Amazon MGM's global head of television, expressed excitement, stating, "We are absolutely thrilled that viewers will be able to delve deeper into the wonderfully surreal and captivating world of Fallout."
He praised the show's creators, saying, "Jonathan, Lisa, Geneva, and Graham have done an exceptional job bringing this beloved video game franchise to vivid life on Prime Video. We are delighted to announce a third season of Fallout, well ahead of the much-anticipated debut of season two, alongside our amazing partners at Bethesda Games and Bethesda Softworks."
The initial season debuted on April 10, 2024, and was quickly renewed for a second season just nine days post-launch. The first season attracted 65 million viewers in its opening fortnight, significantly boosting the game's popularity.
This success led to a rise in the number of players and resulted in Fallout Shelter's daily revenue surging to $80,000. Additionally, game sales in Europe saw a significant boost in April 2024 with Fallout 4 climbing to the top position.
