Gamescom Latam 2025 sees a 30% increase compared to the previous year, attracting more than 130,000 attendees

This year, Gamescom Latam set a new attendance record by attracting over 130,000 attendees to São Paulo between April 30 and May 4.

In its second year, Gamescom Latam, which originated as a partnership between Gamescom and the Brazil Indie Games Festival (BIG Festival), has grown significantly from its inaugural event. Last year, the event saw more than 100,000 visitors. This year marked a 30% increase, as reported by the organizers.

Over 40 publishers, including noted names like Roblox, Supercell, and Nintendo, showcased more than 400 games at the event. The presence of over 3,000 industry professionals was also recorded.

"The results have surpassed our predictions, demonstrating not only the significance of the event in the region but also proving to international companies that this market is established, competitive, and filled with dedicated, talented professionals," stated Gamescom Latam's CEO, Gustavo Steinberg.

This year's convention took place at the Anhembi District venue. Gamescom reported that it hosted over 300 members of the media and more than 2,000 influencer partners, with the event reaching over 10 million users through its digital platforms.

Prominent speakers included Bo Andersson, former CEO of Starbreeze, Henk Rogers, co-founder of The Tetris Company, and Shuhei Yoshida, previously head of PlayStation indies.

The event is scheduled to return to the Anhembi District on April 29-May 3 in 2026.
