The platform dominated over 60% of the world's gaming live stream audience in 2024, with viewers consuming more than 15.6 billion hours of content.

Averaging over 105 million visitors each month, Twitch's audience figures were substantial last year.

Grand Theft Auto 5 continued to be a leader in viewership on the platform, despite being released in 2013. The game attracted over 1.4 billion hours of viewing time globally, with broadcasts surpassing 25.8 million hours.

In second place, League of Legends attracted over 1.19 million viewers. Other competitive games like Valorant, Call of Duty, and Fortnite also garnered significant audiences, with Valorant alone seeing over 804 million hours of viewership.

Minecraft also proved popular, surpassing 379 million watch hours worldwide.

The platform noted a "significant growth trend" in the popularity of virtual streamers, or VTubers, who use virtual avatars in 2D or 3D form. These streamers saw a remarkable rise on Twitch, amassing 1.1 billion hours of viewing—an increase of 10% compared to the previous year. The UK was a standout, experiencing a 200% increase in the hours audiences spent watching such content.
