CI Games CEO: By the end of the week, patch 2.0 will bring 200,000 new players to Lords of the Fallen
The CEO of the Polish company CI Games, Marek Tymiński, is pleased with the results of a major update for Lords of the Fallen, which added seamless co-op support and a number of other improvements to the game. He mentioned that patch 2.0 significantly boosted the soulslike's audience.

In a post on X, Tymiński compared the impact of the patch on the player growth of Lords of the Fallen with relatively recent discounts.
Five days after the update's release, CI Games sold:
- ten times more copies on Steam than during the same period in January, when the game was discounted by 67%;
- five times more copies on PlayStation than during the same period in the spring sale at the PS Store, where Lords of the Fallen was discounted by 69%.
It is worth noting that Lords of the Fallen is currently also available with a discount of 67% to 72%, depending on the platform.
According to Tymiński, since the release of the patch on April 17, the Lords of the Fallen audience has grown by thousands. He believes that by the end of the week, the number of new players will exceed 200,000 — and this only counts those who purchase the title, not those accessing it through a Game Pass subscription.
In January, it was reported that since the release in October 2023, over 4 million people had engaged with Lords of the Fallen.
