Anbernic, a manufacturer of retro gaming consoles, has halted shipments to the United States as a result of tariffs
The Chinese company Anbernic has halted deliveries to the United States in response to the tariffs introduced under Donald Trump's administration on Chinese imports.
Updating its shipping policies on its website, Anbernic informed buyers of potential import duties affecting its merchandise.
"Due to recent changes in the US tariff regulations, all product shipments from China to the US are currently suspended," the company announced.
The brand advises choosing items dispatched from its American warehouse, as these remain unaffected by tariffs and are available without additional charges.
Anbernic pledged to keep its customers informed about any future adjustments to tariff regulations and plans to update its shipping guidelines on its web platform.
As highlighted by The Verge, typically, Anbernic initially ships new handheld consoles from China before restocking them in its US location.
Although direct purchases are currently interrupted, Anbernic's products are accessible via third-party sellers such as Amazon.
Established in 2017 by Shenzhen YangLiMing Electronic Technology Co., Anbernic is known for creating China's first open-source handheld gaming console, the Retro Games series.
The company has developed over 30 console models, which are capable of emulating a range of gaming systems including NES, Sega Genesis, Game Boy, SNES, PlayStation, Nintendo 64, PlayStation Portable, and Nintendo DS.
