The Russian studio "Vintorog" raised $250,000
It has been reported about a new deal in the Russian gaming market. The studio “Vintorog” from Moscow has received an investment of $250,000, which will be directed towards the development of an unannounced game.
Piratocracy
The investor is Esprit Games, a Russian publisher specializing in online games.
“Vintorog” is not yet ready to share details about the game. The studio’s press release states only that the title has been in active production for some time. When “Vintorog” plans to make a full announcement is not specified.
The current investment is the second for “Vintorog” over the past 12 months. It is worth mentioning that in July 2024, the Moscow team attracted 12 million rubles as part of an ongoing funding round seeking a total of 50 million rubles. The funds collected in this round are primarily intended for scaling the studio: expanding its publishing division and developing new games.
Currently, “Vintorog” is seeking a third round of investment to create an AA-level game.
“At this stage of development, we see our task as forming a portfolio of diverse but high-quality products, enhancing the team, and expanding the studio's presence in the market. Our goal is to transition into developing and publishing AAA games,” said Denis Pozdnyakov, co-founder of “Vintorog.”
“Vintorog” was established in 2023 by employees from IThub Group and the Higher School of Economics. The studio now employs over 70 people, and its portfolio of projects exceeds 30. Notably, it has worked on games such as Cream Soda Club, Piratocracy, Ro-Sham-Bo, “Major Grom: Chase,” and Neuro-Kinesis.
