The former producer of Bloodborne and veterans of Thirdverse have founded their own studio
A group of veterans from the Japanese gaming industry has announced the creation of Sirius Studio. One of the founders of this new team is Teruyuki Toriyama, a former producer of Bloodborne and the Demon's Souls remake.
This is the leadership lineup of Sirius Studio:
- Teruyuki Toriyama — General Producer;
- Hideki Irie — Executive Vice President. Previously worked for over 20 years at SEGA, and also served as Executive Producer at PlatinumGames and Vice President of Business Development at Thirdverse;
- Tomohiro Suzuki — Representative Director. Head of the Japanese gaming company gz;
- Tsubasa Miyamoto — Executive Producer. He spent a significant part of his career at Capcom, contributing to several installments of the Resident Evil series. Later, he joined SEGA and then Thirdverse;
- Hikaru Okamura — Executive Producer. Before joining Sirius Studio, he worked at companies such as Marvelous, MyDearest, and Thirdverse. He contributed to Soul Covenant, DYSCHRONIA: Chronos Alternate, Blue Dragon, and many more games.
Sirius Studio has about two dozen employees and is located in Tokyo.
In an interview with Famitsu, the developers revealed that immediately after its launch, Sirius Studio became part of gz. As a subsidiary, Sirius Studio can rely on additional support and the ability to "borrow" company employees for various tasks in game development.
Sirius Studio plans to create games for consoles and VR/XR headsets. They will share details about their debut project later.
